Who am I?

My Name's Lara. And I am a 25 year old hobbyartist.

I love a loooooot of things and one of those things is: Drawing. And painting. Both traditional and digital.

My comfortzone in art are definitely traditional pencil drawings, preferably animal portraits.

Outside of this tiny comfortzone of mine is still plenty to learn and to explore soooo: thats what I'll be doing. :)

I can't guarantee frequent posts tho. As I am kinda chaotic and also need to put in a lot of work in my japanese studies as well as in my job. Which consists of amazing responsibilities as a fulltime employed Storage and Network Engineer! (Yes, that definitely makes me an IT Geek <3 )

If you are interested in both a mix of traditional drawings and digital fanart, with a tiny breeze of personal stuff once in a while and a looooot of shit chatting, you're probably right here!

In general I am a really energetic and sunny natured personality with a tendency of being pretty blunt in unfitting situations! Due to that, my friends might also state out that I can be quite a handful, haha Oh well.. But still, don't hesitate to reply to questions I make in my submissions or to contact me in any other way. Always looking forward to meet new people!

Also, my focus is set more on the process of "improving" rather than creating the "ultimate artwork".

Imo, there is no "bad" art. No "horrible painting" what so ever. There is only room to improve!

And I am not a big fan of the so called "social media" reality. Pictures aren't always pretty. Paintings don't always work out. And I don't always look like a model. And, to me at least, THATS FINE. :)

That is also why I can't (!) turn away from any sort of person who seems to be throwing in the towel as a result of too harsh self criticism...or the urge to be a s good as some pros out there. (They started once too! ) So, if i find you (yes YOU! ) out there, writing stuff like (and I quote) "Maybe I am just to bad / unknown of an artist...." you're doomed for eternity 'Cause you can expect me to generate a encouragement storm on whatever channel I can find! :)

We need to create a community, where individual improvement and the joy of learning and advancing overpowers this damn internet toxicities. :) As you might've figured by now, I'm also quite the chatter box ^^
